Terms of Use

Effective and last updated: October 2026

These terms apply to your use of roofingoceanside.com and of the phone number published on it. By using the site or calling the number, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

What Roofing Oceanside is

Roofing Oceanside is a referral service. It publishes general information about roofing in Oceanside, California, and connects callers by phone with independent, third-party roofing contractors. It is not a roofing contractor, holds no contractor’s license and does not repair, install, inspect or guarantee roofs.

Under California Business and Professions Code section 7027.1, it is a misdemeanor to advertise for construction work without holding a valid license in the classification advertised. That is why these terms, and the about page, say plainly what this service is and what it is not.

Call the number on this site to be connected with an independent local roofing contractor.

How the phone connection works

The number on this site is a call-forwarding number. When you call it, your call is routed through third-party providers and connected to an independent roofing contractor. Roofing Oceanside does not charge you for the call, though your phone carrier’s normal rates may apply. The operator may be paid by a third party when a call is connected.

Roofing Oceanside does not promise that a contractor will be available, that a call will be answered within any particular time, or that a contractor will take on your job. Calling places you under no obligation to hire anyone. Calls may be handled by third-party providers under their own policies, as the privacy policy linked at the foot of every page explains.

Your agreement is with the contractor

Any estimate, inspection, contract, payment or warranty is a matter between you and the contractor you choose. The operator of this site is not a party to that agreement, does not supervise the work and has no say in its price, schedule or terms. Disputes about the work are between you and the contractor.

Roofing Oceanside makes no promise about any contractor’s license status, insurance, pricing, workmanship or conduct. Check these yourself before you sign anything or pay anything.

Check before you hire

The Contractors State License Board (CSLB) licenses roofing contractors under its C-39 Roofing classification. You can look up a contractor’s license status, including complaint disclosure, by license number, business name or personnel name on the CSLB license check page, or by phone at 1-800-321-CSLB (2752).

California requires a written contract for home improvement projects over $500, and that contract must state who will get the necessary permits and give a completion date. The down payment on a home improvement contract cannot exceed $1,000 or 10 percent of the contract price, whichever is less. Every active C-39 roofing contractor must also carry workers’ compensation insurance or a valid Certification of Self-Insurance, whether or not it has employees.

No warranty on contractors’ work

Roofing Oceanside gives no warranty, express or implied, on any contractor’s work, materials, advice, pricing or timing. Any warranty you receive comes from the contractor or from the manufacturer of the materials, on the terms they give you. To the fullest extent the law allows, the operator is not liable for loss or damage arising from a contractor’s acts or omissions, or from your dealings with a contractor.

Call to be connected with a local roofing contractor; the decision to hire stays with you.

Site content is general information

The pages and articles on this site are general information about roofs, local rules and typical costs. They are not professional roofing, engineering, legal, insurance or financial advice, and they do not replace an inspection of your own roof by a licensed contractor. Cost figures come from published sources and are not quotes or offers. Rules, fees and prices change, so confirm anything that matters with the City of Oceanside, the relevant state agency or your contractor before you act on it.

The site is provided “as is” and “as available”. The operator does not guarantee that the information is complete, current or free of errors, or that the site will always be available. To the fullest extent the law allows, the operator disclaims all implied warranties and is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the site. Nothing in these terms limits a right under California law that cannot be waived.

Acceptable use

You may read, link to and share pages from this site for personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy the content in bulk, republish it as your own, interfere with the site’s operation, or use the phone number or contact details for spam or automated calls. The text, design and brand marks belong to the operator or its licensors.

Links to other sites

The site links to official sources such as the City of Oceanside and California state agencies. Those sites are run by others, and the operator is not responsible for their content.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law rules. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated as the site changes, for example if a quote form is added. The date at the top of the page shows the latest revision, and continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

How to contact the operator

Questions about these terms can be sent by email to the address shown on the contact page. The phone number on the site connects to a roofing contractor, who is the right person for a roofing problem but cannot answer questions about these terms.
